I SAID GIMME A HELL YEAH!!!
So on the day it came online my good mate Dan Ivey and I quickly put in our order for the Fresh IPA MAR 20. My first can was devoured before I had time to take a pic and review. I just enjoyed. But today, here it is as I enjoy it again!
What they say: Fresh IPA, a rolling, ever changing, monthly series of one offs, brewed in small batches and available only from our brewery outlets and only while stocks last. Each batch is an opportunity to try a new brewery fresh IPA, unfiltered and unfined, showcasing a unique combination of yeast, malt and hops. Just fun, fresh hoppy beer at its best.
Malt: Golden Promise, Rolled Oats, Golden Naked Oats
Hops: Pahto, Mosaic, Simcoe, Amarillo
Yeast: Imperial A04 Barbarian.
What I say: How cool is the can art! That one’s a keeper! Crack the can and the aroma hits you with a face full of grapefruit. Absolutely sensational! It looks like a hazy pineapple juice. The taste is big fruity hoppy flavours with lots of grapefruit and some citrus. Maybe a bit of rock melon thrown in there too.The bitterness gives you a nice slap in the chops. All up, its an absolute banger the likes which I never thought I would get here in Australia.
But what would I know? I’m just a guy that loves great beer 😊🍺
