Nitro Stout – 4 Pines Brewing Co.

Nitro Stout – 4 Pines Brewing Co.
REVIEW:
A nitro stout in a bottle, allegedly the first of its kind. 4 Pines Brewing Co. have been doing plenty of promotion on the socials, including a hilarious video of their brewer demonstrating how to “Flip it and POUR IT HARD!” So, thanks to my fascination with stouts and all things Nitro… of course I had to get me some of this!
If you haven’t already, check out my IGTV video on Instagram to see how to pour this one too 😊🍻
A big shout out to Beer Cartel who supplied the glass (won through their Facebook page photo competition), and for the beer voucher (from a review I did on their website).
What they say: Australia’s first Nitro Stout in a bottle. No Widget, just a nitro infusion in the bottle giving it a beautiful creamy head after you pour hard and fast into a glass.
A dry Irish Stout, presenting almost black and bearing a generous tan head. Aromas of coffee, chocolate and caramel are matched with a full bodied mouthfeel, a smooth finish and a rounding bitterness.
Currently being tested to become the worlds first certified ‘space beer’!
What I say: Who doesn’t love watching a nitro stout settle out? It pours black with a great big creamy tan nitro head. Aroma is your standard stouty roasty malt. Taste is smooth and creamy, very roasted malt. Personally I didn’t get much coffee or caramel, with just a little chocolate towards the end of the glass. A solid stout, and worth it just for the fun of the pour.
But what would I know? I’m just a guy that loves great beer 😊🍺
